PRODUCTIVITY & COLLABORATION

Connected Work Across People, Mail and Documents

Productivity platforms combine communication, files, calendars, collaboration tools and account administration. Selection depends on existing workflows, user requirements, application compatibility and organizational policies.

Email and communication

Mailboxes and messaging inside the suite the organization already uses or chooses.

Collaboration and documents

Shared files and the working habits those tools have to support.

Account and user administration

Who creates accounts, who can administer them, and how access is removed.

CUSTOMER-OWNED CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS

How Cloud Services Fit Around Your Organization

Cloud environments combine organizational identity, access controls, network connectivity, applications, data services and operational management. Responsibilities vary according to the cloud provider and selected service model.

OrganizationUsersIdentityEmail and collaboration

Productivity

An organization, its users, identity, and the email or collaboration services they are licensed to use. Device or access policies apply only where that platform supports them and the engagement includes them.

Cloud workloads

A customer-owned cloud account, access, a network environment, application services, data services, and logging. Novatelia is not the cloud provider.

Backup and recovery

A defined source, a backup process, stored copies, retention and access controls, a restore, and a check that the restore worked. A backup is not automatically configured for every SaaS service.

Conceptual architecture. Actual account configuration, workload responsibilities, backup coverage and recovery procedures depend on the selected services and agreed technical scope.

IDENTITY & ACCESS

Access and Administration Across Cloud Environments

Organizational accounts, user lifecycle, multi-factor authentication, role-based access, administrative privileges, domain ownership and account recovery are reviewed for the platform in use. Conditional access and audit logging apply where that platform supports them and the engagement includes them. Microsoft Entra ID and Google Cloud Identity are not the same product.

BUSINESS EMAIL

Professional Email Begins With Correct Domain Configuration

Mailbox requirements, the business domain, DNS records, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, migration planning, mail routing and administrative access are part of an email design. Email authentication improves the ability to identify authorized sending infrastructure but does not guarantee inbox placement or eliminate all email threats. No Microsoft or Google reseller relationship is published here.

CLOUD PLATFORM ENGINEERING

Hosting Requirements Before Platform Selection

Cloud hosting choices depend on application architecture, regional availability, performance objectives, access controls, data requirements and operating responsibilities. Infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, and software as a service are different models. Hosting is performed in an account the customer is authorized to use. This page does not promise that every cloud service or region is available in Oman, and it does not publish a hosting price.

DATA PROTECTION & CONTINUITY

A Backup Is Only Useful When Recovery Works

Backup design addresses the creation, protection and retention of recoverable copies of defined systems and data. Disaster recovery planning considers how services can be restored following an incident and how the recovery process is verified.

  1. Protect

Agree which systems and data are in scope.

  2. Store

Keep copies with the retention and access controls the design names.

  3. Verify

A completed backup is not the same as a tested restore.

  4. Restore

Bring back the agreed systems or data.

  5. Review

Record what the test showed. No recovery time is guaranteed without that architecture and test.

RESPONSIBILITY & GOVERNANCE

Understanding Who Controls What in the Cloud

Customer and cloud provider responsibilities change with the selected service model. In software as a service, the provider operates the application and the customer controls accounts and data use. In platform as a service, the customer controls the application configuration. In infrastructure as a service, operating-system management can also sit with the customer. Novatelia is not the cloud provider. No SOC 2, ISO 27001, or automatic Oman or GCC compliance claim is made on this page.

CHOOSING YOUR TECHNOLOGY

How to Evaluate Productivity and Cloud Platforms

Productivity

Existing accounts, office applications, collaboration needs, identity, administration, data policies, and licensing. No suite is always the best choice.

Cloud

Application requirements, service compatibility, region, security controls, operational ownership, reliability, cost model, and existing expertise.
