Inspection Robots & Drones for Oil, Gas, Energy and Maritime Assets
INSPECTION ROBOTS & DRONES
Robotic inspection reduces the need for people to enter confined spaces, work at height or approach hazardous equipment. We source inspection robots, crawlers and drones by application, and coordinate operation, data handling and support with technical partners.

Start With the Application
Inspection equipment is chosen by the asset, the environment and the data you need: visual, thermal, gas detection, thickness or acoustic measurements.
Inspection Applications
01
Oil, gas and petrochemical sites
Routine plant patrols, gauge reading, gas and thermal monitoring, and inspection of tanks and pipe racks.
02
Maritime and offshore
Hull, tank and cargo hold inspection, and underwater inspection with remotely operated vehicles.
03
Power and utilities
Substation patrols, solar and transmission line inspection, and thermal surveys.
04
Confined spaces and pipelines
Crawlers for pipes, ducts, boilers and vessels where human entry is restricted.
Inspection Categories We Source
Categories describe what we can help source. Specific models, configurations and terms are confirmed per request.
01
Legged and wheeled patrol robots
Ground robots carrying cameras, thermal imagers and gas sensors on planned routes.
02
Pipe and tank crawlers
Magnetic and tracked crawlers for visual and thickness inspection.
03
Inspection drones
Drones with visual, zoom and thermal payloads, including caged drones for indoor and confined areas.
04
Underwater ROVs
Remotely operated vehicles for hull, berth and subsea visual inspection.
What We Check Before Recommending Inspection Equipment
- Asset type, access points and environment
- Hazardous-area classification and required certification
- Sensors and data outputs needed
- Local permits and airspace or marine rules for drones and ROVs
- Data storage and reporting requirements
- Operator training and support arrangements
How We Work
01
Define the application
Share the site, the task and the outcome you need. We clarify the requirement, constraints and success measures.
02
Source suitable options
We shortlist robot categories and configurations that fit the application, and confirm availability for your country.
03
Coordinate technical partners
We line up a technical partner for site survey, mapping, integration and commissioning, as agreed in the quotation.
04
Pilot or deliver
Start with a short pilot where it helps, or proceed to supply and coordinated deployment.
05
Support and scale
After-sales support, spares and fleet growth are coordinated with the technical partner under agreed terms.

Share the country, the application, the quantity and your timeline. We review it, coordinate with technical partners and reply with suitable options.
Inspection Robots & Drones — Questions and Answers
01Can inspection robots work in hazardous areas?
Only equipment certified for the specific hazardous-area zone may be used there. We confirm the certification required for your site before proposing any option.
02Do drones need permits in Oman and the UAE?
Drone operation is regulated by the civil aviation authorities in each country. Permit requirements are part of the project review with the technical partner and the operator.
03Do you provide inspection as a service?
Novatelia supplies equipment and coordinates projects. Where an operated service is needed, we coordinate it with a qualified technical partner and state the scope in the quotation.
