Operational software
A custom web application is software for a named business process: intake, review, approval, and a record of what changed. Novatelia designs and builds that class of system for teams in Oman and the GCC. It is not a marketing website and not a packaged product with a fixed module list. Accounts, permissions, and the systems it must call are part of the specification.
Definition
The application is the system of record for the process it covers. Pages, roles, and states are designed from the workflow, then built and handed over with the operating notes.

Record
The sequence is a reading aid. A project uses the states written in its specification.
What the application usually contains
- Authenticated users and a role model
- A request or case that moves through named states
- An audit of who changed a record
- Exports or interfaces for the neighboring system
- An administrator path for the owner’s own staff
How it is delivered
- A written process before interface work starts
- A browser application the named roles can complete
- Test notes for the paths in scope
- Handover to the team that will operate it
Questions
How is this different from a website?
A website publishes information. A web application records work: who asked, who approved, and what the current state is.
Is there a ready-made Novatelia application to buy?
No packaged application is published here. The system is specified for the process in the engagement.
