Collaborative Robots (Cobots) for Small Factories, Packaging and Labs
COLLABORATIVE ROBOTS
Cobots are compact robot arms designed to work near people after a risk assessment. They suit small and medium manufacturers, packaging lines and laboratories that want automation without a large fenced robot cell. We source the arm, tooling and accessories, and coordinate integration with technical partners.

Start With the Application
A cobot project is defined by the task: the part, the cycle time, the payload and reach, and the tooling at the end of the arm.
Common Cobot Applications
01
Machine tending
Loading and unloading CNC machines, presses and injection moulding machines.
02
Packaging and palletising
Pick-and-place into boxes, case packing and end-of-line palletising.
03
Laboratory automation
Sample handling, pipetting support and repetitive bench tasks in testing and research labs.
04
Assembly, screwdriving and quality checks
Repetitive assembly steps, fastening and vision-based inspection.
What We Source for a Cobot Cell
Categories describe what we can help source. Specific models, configurations and terms are confirmed per request.
01
Cobot arms
Arms selected by payload, reach, repeatability and protection rating.
02
End-of-arm tooling
Electric and vacuum grippers, screwdrivers and tool changers.
03
Vision and sensors
Cameras and sensors for part location, inspection and safety monitoring.
04
Mounting and safety accessories
Pedestals, mobile bases, safety scanners and guarding where the risk assessment needs it.
What We Check Before Recommending a Cobot
- Part dimensions, weight and material
- Required cycle time and shift pattern
- Reach, payload and mounting position
- Risk assessment and safety requirements
- Interfaces to existing machines and PLCs
- Operator training needs
How We Work
01
Define the application
Share the site, the task and the outcome you need. We clarify the requirement, constraints and success measures.
02
Source suitable options
We shortlist robot categories and configurations that fit the application, and confirm availability for your country.
03
Coordinate technical partners
We line up a technical partner for site survey, mapping, integration and commissioning, as agreed in the quotation.
04
Pilot or deliver
Start with a short pilot where it helps, or proceed to supply and coordinated deployment.
05
Support and scale
After-sales support, spares and fleet growth are coordinated with the technical partner under agreed terms.

Collaborative Robots (Cobots) — Questions and Answers
01Can a cobot work without a safety fence?
Cobots are designed for collaborative work, but the whole application must pass a risk assessment. Sharp tools, heavy parts or high speeds can still require guarding or safety scanners.
02Who programs the cobot?
Programming and commissioning are coordinated with a technical partner as part of the project scope. Many cobots also allow trained operators to adjust simple tasks.
03Is a cobot suitable for a small factory?
Often yes. Cobots need less floor space than traditional industrial robots and can be redeployed between tasks.
