Sour gas, hydrocarbons and confined spaces make gas detection a daily requirement for operators and contractors across the region. We supply fixed detectors for plant safety systems and portable monitors for the people working on site.
Fixed gas detection
Fixed detectors cover combustible gases with catalytic or infrared point sensors, toxic gases such as H2S with electrochemical cells, and long distances with open-path infrared. Plant installations typically require flameproof or intrinsically safe certification under ATEX or IECEx, performance to EN 60079-29-1 for flammable gas detection and, where the detector forms part of a safety function, SIL 2 capability. Controllers, mounting kits, sunshades and calibration adaptors can be quoted with the detectors.
Portable monitors
For personal protection we supply single-gas H2S monitors and four-gas instruments for LEL, oxygen, carbon monoxide and H2S, together with docking and bump-test stations, spare sensors, batteries and certified calibration gas. Contractors often need several units at short notice for a shutdown, so we quote quantities and accessories as complete kits.
Planning a detection system
The gases present, area classification and the alarm philosophy drive detector selection. For fixed systems we need the target gas and range, protection concept, output signal and controller interface. For portables, tell us how many workers need monitors, which gases apply and whether you already use a docking station, so the new units can share accessories. Spare sensors and filters can be quoted as maintenance stock.
