B2B and B2C
Novatelia designs commerce systems for a catalog that is either priced or quoted. Business-to-business trade often needs an RFQ instead of an instant checkout. Business-to-consumer catalogs, order records, and inventory links are specified separately. Payment is connected only when the merchant has an approved provider account. This page does not take a payment and does not publish prices.
Definition
RFQ commerce means the buyer asks for a quotation on a defined item. A priced checkout is a different path and exists only for offers the merchant has approved. The two paths are not mixed by hiding a missing price as zero.
Priced offer
Catalog item with an approved public price, then an order the merchant can fulfill.
RFQ
Catalog item without a public price. The buyer asks. A missing price is not zero.
Two commerce paths. This page does not accept payment.
Commerce shapes
- B2C catalogs with an approved public offer
- B2B catalogs and account-specific terms
- RFQ commerce where the price is not public
- Marketplace architecture only when more than one seller is actually in scope
- Multilingual catalog content when translations are supplied
Operations around the order
- Inventory as a stock figure the source system owns
- Order management for the states the warehouse can honor
- ERP integration for the items and the invoice, not a silent overwrite
- Search and answer content for the catalog pages that should be indexed
- Payment, email, and messaging through the accounts the merchant controls
Questions
Can a buyer check out on this Novatelia page?
No. This page describes commerce systems. It does not accept a card or issue an order.
What if a product has no public price?
It stays on the quotation path. A missing price is not treated as zero and is not shown as an offer.
Do you operate a marketplace today?
A marketplace is an architecture for a project with more than one seller. It is not a live Novatelia marketplace.

Describe the system
An RFQ saves a browser draft. It does not publish a price, a timeline, or a quotation reference.
