Novatelia Incident Response Support
Engineering triage, review of customer-provided telemetry, isolation recommendations, technical timeline analysis, remediation planning, and coordination with the customer’s team.
TECHNICAL INCIDENT TRIAGE & CONTAINMENT SUPPORT
Support
When an organization experiences a security event, Novatelia assists the customer’s existing IT or security team with incident triage, isolation recommendations for affected hosts, review of available logs, remediation recommendations, telemetry interpretation, investigation of possible compromise vectors, containment support, and operational recovery coordination.
The service record describes this as rapid technical assistance. That phrase is not an immediate-response guarantee and not a published response-time SLA. Availability and the engagement window depend on the written contract.
Investigation uses available evidence and authorized access. Containment requires approval. Outputs depend on the agreed scope. This page does not establish a 24/7 SOC or a forensic laboratory.

Illustrative response workflow — not a live incident investigation or guaranteed response procedure.
01
The reported anomaly, affected systems, customer context, and available alerts define the initial scope and a preliminary severity. The source sequence begins with immediate technical intake. On this page, immediate means the start of an agreed engagement. It is not a guaranteed response clock.
02
Available firewall logs, endpoint events, server logs, timestamps, and existing telemetry are reviewed under customer-approved collection. This website does not request or collect those logs.
03
Affected endpoints, isolation options, possible lateral movement, and the business impact of isolation are discussed with the administrators who can authorize a change. No device-control command is issued from this page.
04
Available events are correlated, timestamps are compared, and gaps are written down. The service record calls this step forensic timeline reconstruction. The public description is technical log-based timeline reconstruction. It is not accredited forensic reconstruction, and findings stay provisional where the evidence is incomplete.
05
Documented findings, scoped recommendations, priorities, and recovery dependencies are reviewed with the customer’s team. Corrective changes are not described as already performed.
What was observed, the approximate time, existing security alerts, and the affected business function.
Relevant host names, IP addressing context, affected user accounts, and known system relationships.
Firewall logs, endpoint logs, server logs, and other records the customer already holds.
Sensitive incident evidence should be exchanged only through an approved secure channel established for the engagement. Passwords, tokens, recovery codes, private keys, and full logs are not requested on this page.
01
Known observations, operational impact, available evidence, and a preliminary priority. No numeric severity score is published.
Illustrative output description. Scope decides what is delivered.
02
Affected systems, isolation considerations, authorization, and business-continuity implications. Quarantine is not automatic.
Illustrative output description. Scope decides what is delivered.
03
Event correlation, timestamp reconciliation, the logs in hand, and known gaps. An illustrative timeline is not legally admissible forensic evidence.
Illustrative output description. Scope decides what is delivered.
04
Possible causes and entry vectors, with confidence and limitations. A definitive root cause is not guaranteed, and attribution is not promised.
Illustrative output description. Scope decides what is delivered.

Prioritized technical changes, workstreams, dependencies, and follow-up checks. Completed remediations are not invented.

Illustrative event categories — no customer environment is connected.
01
A customer-provided endpoint alert can be an investigation input. An alert is not, by itself, a confirmed breach.
02
Authorized account and authentication records may inform the review. This page does not connect to a directory.
03
Available firewall and network logs may inform triage. They are not a live packet capture.
04
An availability symptom may need both a security review and an operational review. Not every outage is an intrusion.
Isolation can interrupt business services. Dependencies matter. Proposed containment is coordinated with the customer’s incident authority. Evidence preservation can change the sequence. Restoring operation and investigating cause are different tasks. The boundary below is conceptual. It has no real address and it executes nothing.
Firewall logs, endpoint events, authentication records where available, server records, and existing alerts can be placed in order. Coverage may be incomplete. Clocks and time zones may differ. Retention can limit visibility. Correlation does not prove causality. The sample labels below are illustrative, not a customer incident, and not formal legal evidence processing.
Engineering triage, review of customer-provided telemetry, isolation recommendations, technical timeline analysis, remediation planning, and coordination with the customer’s team.
Specialized examinations, formal evidence handling, and admissibility requirements under a separate specialist engagement. This category is not offered here.
Novatelia does not offer accredited court-admissible digital forensic services under this page.
Scoped technical assistance during an agreed engagement or a contractual response window.
An ongoing detection function that needs its own operating model.
A staffed around-the-clock operations capability.
Novatelia does not publish a 24/7 SOC or standing incident-response retainer through this service.
Recommendations can address endpoint configuration, access control, firewall or segmentation considerations, logging gaps, patch and agent issues, credential and administrative controls, and follow-up checks. These are illustrative categories, not findings from a real engagement. Implementation is not automatic, and eradication of every threat is not promised.
Customer authorization, named technical contacts, administrative boundaries, evidence minimization, protected-data handling, an approved collection scope, and controlled changes are the working rules. A certified forensic chain-of-custody programme is not claimed. There is no upload portal and no customer log on this page.
NIST SP 800-61 Rev. 3, finalized in April 2025, is incident-response guidance inside cybersecurity risk management and is written as a CSF 2.0 community profile. It supersedes SP 800-61 Rev. 2. NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 is general context for govern, identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover. Both are external publications. Novatelia is not NIST-certified. This service does not include every activity those documents describe. The contractual description on this page is the service boundary.
Support availability depends on an agreement. A standing response window requires a contract. Scope, contacts, and authorization have to be defined. No default 24/7 retainer is published. A public RFQ draft is not an emergency escalation channel, and this page has no emergency button.
The hub describes the broader cybersecurity portfolio. This page remains Incident Response Support.

Triage, isolation recommendations, log review, and a remediation list with the customer’s team.
No. Court-admissible forensics are not offered. A standing response window exists only when a contract defines it.
Scoped engineering assistance to the customer’s IT or security team during and after a suspected security incident: intake, log review, containment recommendations, a technical timeline, and a remediation plan. Availability depends on the written contract.
A description of the observed anomaly or alert, affected host names, IP addresses, and user accounts, and the firewall, endpoint, and server logs that are already available.
Firewall, endpoint, and server logs the customer can provide, within the approved collection scope. Sensitive logs are not uploaded through this public website.
Yes. Coordinated endpoint isolation recommendations are a source output. They consider authorization and the business effect of taking a system offline.
No. Isolation is a recommendation coordinated with the customer. This page cannot send a command to a device.
A preliminary view of what is known, the operational impact, and the evidence in hand. It is not a numeric score.
By correlating available events and reconciling timestamps, while recording gaps. The source calls the stage forensic timeline reconstruction. Publicly it is technical log-based timeline reconstruction, not a legal forensic product.
An evidence-supported account of possible causes and entry vectors, with the confidence and the limits of that evidence.
No. Root cause or the intrusion vector may remain undetermined when the evidence is insufficient. Definitive attribution is not promised.
Prioritized technical recommendations, the workstreams that own them, dependencies, and how a follow-up check could be made. Implementation is not automatic.
Implementation is not automatically included. The roadmap is a planning output with the customer’s team.
No. This is assistance after a suspected event. It is not an authorized attack exercise.
No. Novatelia does not offer accredited court-admissible digital forensic services under this page.
No. Court-admissible forensic evidence preparation is not offered.
No. A 24/7 retainer and a standing response window are not published. A window exists only when a contract defines it. The source phrase rapid technical assistance is not a response-time SLA.

The customer’s named incident authority and the administrators responsible for the affected systems.
No. Sensitive incident evidence should be exchanged only through an approved secure channel established for the engagement. This page does not claim that portal already exists.
No. The RFQ currently saves a browser draft. It does not submit an incident, activate emergency response, or issue a quotation reference.
Open the RFQ draft or contact the Muscat desk to describe the requirement. Neither action dispatches an engineer.
