Level Measurement Instruments in Oman & GCC

Tanks, separators and reservoirs all need reliable level data, and the right instrument depends on the vessel, the process conditions and the safety role of the measurement. We source level transmitters, switches and gauges for projects and maintenance teams in Oman and across the GCC.

Radar and guided wave radar

Non-contact radar transmitters, including 80 GHz FMCW designs, have become a standard choice for storage tanks, terminals and water reservoirs because vapour, temperature and density changes barely affect them. Guided wave radar is the usual choice for separators, knock-out drums and interface measurement, and high-temperature probes are available for demanding vessels. Overfill protection on storage tanks often follows API 2350, and SIL 2 capability to IEC 61508 can be specified.

Ultrasonic sensors, switches and gauges

Ultrasonic transmitters remain a cost-effective option for water and wastewater basins, lift stations and open channels. For point detection we supply vibrating fork and float level switches, and for local indication magnetic bypass gauges and reflex or transparent glass gauges, with optional switches or transmitters.

Details we need to quote

Helpful inputs are the vessel type and height, nozzle size and position, product, dielectric constant if known, operating pressure and temperature, and the role of the measurement in alarms or trips. A sketch of the tank and its internals helps avoid probe or beam obstructions and lets us confirm antenna or probe options early.

Brands, industries and delivery

We source and supply instruments from brands commonly specified in GCC projects, including VEGA, Emerson Rosemount, Endress+Hauser, KROHNE, Siemens and WIKA. Users include tank farms, refineries, gas plants, desalination plants and water utilities. Quotations from Muscat cover delivery to Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with hazardous-area certificates listed for each item.

Frequently asked questions

Is radar or guided wave radar better for my vessel?
Non-contact radar suits most storage tanks and open vessels, while guided wave radar handles interface measurement, low-dielectric products and turbulent vessels. Share the vessel drawing and process data and we will check the options with the manufacturer.
Can you supply level switches for high and low alarms?
Yes. Vibrating fork, float and other point-level switches are available, including flameproof and intrinsically safe versions for hazardous areas.
Do you supply magnetic level gauges with transmitters?
Magnetic bypass gauges can be supplied with reed-chain or guided wave radar transmitters and limit switches, so local and remote indication come from one assembly.
