What is Microsoft Intune?

Microsoft Intune enrolls and policies devices from a Microsoft 365 tenant, when the customer’s license includes it. It can cover computers and phones, within the settings those operating systems allow. Novatelia will scope Intune only inside a tenant that has it. Definition

Intune is a cloud device-management service tied to Entra ID. It pushes configuration and application assignments. It is not endpoint detection, and it is not a patch report for software it cannot see.

How it works

A device enrolls to the tenant. A profile applies. The console reports compliance against the settings in that profile. A device that never enrolls is outside the control, regardless of the license.
