Aviation Network Infrastructure
Aviation network infrastructure is the structured cabling and fibre that connects hangars, MRO shops, stores, offices and airport buildings. Maintenance records, tool control, connected torque tools and test benches all depend on it. Before a network is accepted, installers certify each copper link to TIA or ISO/IEC limits and inspect and test fibre. Fluke Networks' DSX CableAnalyzer series certifies twisted-pair cabling from Cat 5e to Cat 8 / Class I/II per TIA 568 and ISO/IEC 11801, with an 8 second Cat 6A test on the DSX-8000 [1]. EXFO supplies fibre inspection probes for end-face checks [2].
