Product family navigator

  • Mobile computers

    TC-series handhelds and MC-series ultra-rugged computers. TC53, TC58, MC9400, and MC9450 stay separate names. Specifications are unpublished.

  • Barcode scanners

General-purpose, ultra-rugged, presentation, healthcare, and fixed-mount scanners are different products. No scan engine is named.

  • Industrial printers

ZT-class printers, including the ZT411 family. Print width, dpi, and speed stay unknown. RFID is a configuration, not a default.

  • Desktop printers

A smaller printer class than an industrial ZT. No desktop model number is published.

  • Mobile printers

A battery printer carried to the work. It is not a mobile computer and not a ZT411.

  • RFID

Readers, antennas, and tags. Handheld and fixed readers are different. A printer/encoder is a third device.

  • Fixed scanning

A scanner mounted on a line or a door. It is not a handheld.

  • Machine vision

A camera system for inspection, distinct from a barcode scanner. No vision model was opened.

  • Labels

Width, length, core, adhesive, and print method have to match the printer. No label SKU is stored.

  • Ribbons

Thermal-transfer ribbon is matched to the media and the printer. Direct thermal uses no ribbon.

  • Batteries

A spare battery and a cradle follow the device family. Capacities are not published.

  • Accessories

Cradles, holsters, and vehicle mounts are model-specific. A TC cradle is not assumed to fit an MC device.

Enterprise mobile computers

A Zebra mobile computer is a handheld built for a work application, a scan engine, and a management toolset. TC53 and TC58 are two names in that handheld class. Their displays, batteries, scan engines, and radios were not read from a spec sheet. They are not described as having the same cellular capability.

Ultra-rugged computing

MC9400 is an ultra-rugged family name. MC9450 is a different name and is not given MC9400 options. Keypad, long-range scan, battery, and temperature range stay unknown. A drop rating or an ingress rating is not invented.

Barcode scanners

A barcode scanner captures a printed code. General-purpose, ultra-rugged, cordless, presentation, healthcare, and fixed-mount families answer different handling and hygiene questions. Scan distance and a damaged-code claim belong to the engine. Neither is published.

Barcode symbologies

A 1D code is a linear symbol such as EAN, UPC, or GS1-128. A 2D code, such as QR or Data Matrix, stores data in two dimensions. The symbology’s capacity is not the scanner’s performance. Direct part marking is a special case and is not assumed.

Industrial label printers

The ZT411 is an industrial label-printer family. Resolution, print width, speed, and the choice of direct thermal or thermal transfer were not read from a spec sheet. Those figures are not filled from a similar ZT model.

Desktop and mobile printers

A desktop printer sits at a bench. A mobile printer is carried and runs from a battery. Neither is an industrial ZT411, and neither is assumed to use the same media width. No ZD or mobile model number is published.

Direct thermal and thermal transfer

Direct thermal heats coated media and uses no ribbon. Thermal transfer uses a ribbon. The print method decides the media. DPI is resolution, not speed. A higher DPI does not mean a faster printer.

Labels and ribbons

A compatible supply matches width, length, core, outer diameter, sensor marks, adhesive, and, for thermal transfer, the ribbon type. Chemical resistance and outdoor life are not claimed. No label or ribbon record is in the product master.

RFID

Passive UHF RFID uses a reader and a tag with no battery in the tag. The reader, the antenna, and the tag are separate parts. Metal and liquid change the read. Polarization, power, and the country’s frequency rules all matter. No meter of read range is published. A tag identification is not a live indoor location.

RFID readers and encoders

A handheld reader and a fixed reader cover different doors and benches. An RFID printer/encoder both prints and writes a supported inlay. The standard ZT411 is not called an RFID printer. Oman and GCC frequency limits and type approvals were not opened, so no radio approval is stated.

Fixed scanning and machine vision

Fixed industrial scanning reads codes on a moving item. Machine vision inspects an image. They are different Zebra categories. No model, no frame rate, and no accuracy figure is published.

Software and support

DataWedge is Zebra’s utility for passing scan data into applications on supported computers. Mobility DNA is the mobile-computer software family. DataCapture DNA is the scanner software family. Printer management software is a further family. A feature exists only on the models Zebra lists for it. Zebra OneCare is a Zebra service name. Its term is not an Oman warranty and is not published here.

Oman and GCC operations

Warehouses, ports, shops, factories, clinics, and field teams can request a data-capture discussion. No customer deployment is described. Radio use still has to meet the rules of the country where the device transmits.

Model identity comparison

These columns keep model identities apart. Specifications stay unknown until each spec sheet is opened. A blank is not a shared feature.
